HJS research fellow Dr Rakib Ehsan discusses how the integration of minority groups into British society is a neglected policy. He argues that both the Conservatives and Labour have so far been ineffectual in tackling issues of integration and that while the UK is leading multi-ethnic democracy, social cohesion is still a glaring problem.
