Sascha Dov Bachmann
Sascha Dov Bachmann is an international scholar, former Lieutenant Colonel (GER A Res)- with operational experience in the Balkans and as exchange officer with the US Marines and a career professional in law and higher education. In the last 20 years he worked in various capacities and functions in the USA, the Middle East, South Africa and various European countries. Sascha Dov joined Canberra Law School in September 2019. He has worked with and presented to NATO, US CENTCOM, US AFRICOM, the Austrian Ministry of Defence, the Swedish Defence University, the Royal Danish Defence College, the South African National Defence Force and the Australian Defence College on the subjects of Hybrid War/Threats, Lawfare, InfoOps and Targeting.

Jukka Savolainen
Captain (N, Rtd.) Jukka Savolainen is a general staff officer of the Finnish Coast Guard, serving as Commander West Finland Coast Guard District from 2012 to 2017. His international experience includes service as the Head of Mission of the EU Police Mission in Afghanistan from 2010 to 2012. He spent 2002–2006 in Brussels, working firstly as a counsellor for border security at the Finnish Permanent Representation to the EU, and later as a national expert at DG HOME of the Council. His current team’s work concentrates on hybrid threats to critical systems supporting modern Western societies.

Dariusz Sobkow
“Dariusz Sobkow is the former Polish Ambassador to the European Union. After this, he worked as a political analyst in the European Parliament. Prior to his work in the EU institutions, he worked in the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He currently works as an advisor on the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee.”

Michael McManus
Michael has spent nearly 20 years working in politics and international relations. He has experience working in Brussels, where he advised Members of the European Parliament on international trade and aid deals. This included work on post-Arab Spring states, and assistance packages to Ukraine. Michael then worked as an expert consultant on World Bank projects in the Global South. He also worked as a director of research in a migration-focused Washington D.C. organisation, helping to push legislation that cracked down on illegal immigration. Michael holds two Masters degrees, is fluent in French, and has visited 37 countries on five continents.
