Forecasting the Muslim Sectarian Wave: Ward-Level Predictors of Electoral Success

Ahead of the May local elections, this research provides the first systematic ward-level analysis of the local conditions associated with Muslim sectarian electoral success in England. Using a conservative coding framework and public demographic and electoral data, the report shows that this form of mobilisation is not random, but concentrated in wards with larger Muslim populations, younger age profiles, and higher voter turnout. The findings offer a data-driven warning about the emerging pressures on local democracy, community cohesion, and the resilience of Britain’s political institutions.
