Research fellow Dr Rakib Ehsan offers his outlook on the appointment of Katharine Birbalsingh CBE as the UK Government’s new chair of the Social Mobility Commission. It’s a move that has unsurprisingly ruffled feathers, but will ultimately help in the “levelling-up” of British society and the improvement of social mobility.
