Online Event – Israel 2048: A Blueprint for a Rising Asymmetric Geopolitical Power

10 February @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The aftermath of the 7th October massacre has led Israel to undergo a transformation. Technologically, Israel has evolved from being a hi-tech nation to become a defence-tech nation. Israel’s security doctrine has also undergone a transition from defending its borders from imminent attacks to adopting a ‘preventative’ strategy in which Israel is projecting power more broadly and frequently across the region. Serving as a regional asset, Israel has become a strategic partner of the US with the aim of achieving military independence within the upcoming decade, with the accompanying aim of having energy and food independence. As Israel achieves regional dominance, it must contend with the risks of brushing against geopolitical actors such as China and Russia, as well as a rising Turkey, and Gulf States that are strategically realigning, and which may threaten Israel’s position in trade corridors in which Israel may connect different continents.
