Antisemitism: What Everyone Needs to Know

David Harris is a lifelong advocate for Jewish rights and combating antisemitism. This event celebrates the release of his latest book, “Antisemitism: What Everyone Needs to Know.”
This event provides a unique opportunity to engage with one of the most influential voices in contemporary Jewish and global affairs. Our Director of Research, Michael McManus, will dive into Harris’ decades of leadership to present a clear-cut exploration of antisemitism, its history, and why it is a critical issue for global society.
Harris is the Executive Vice Chair of the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy, previously serving as CEO of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) from 1990 to 2022. He was referred to by the late Israeli President and Nobel Laureate, Shimon Peres, as “the foreign minister of the Jewish people.”
In this timely conversation, Harris will reflect on the themes of his book, connect them to current global challenges, and offer practical insights into confronting hatred and protecting democratic values. Grounded, informed, and deeply personal, this event promises a thoughtful and compelling discussion for anyone seeking to better understand antisemitism today and the responsibilities it places on all of us who believe in freedom and fairness.
