Hannah Stephens

Hannah joined HJS full-time in August 2024
Hannah Stephens is a Communications and Policy Officer at The Henry Jackson Society, where she contributes to shaping communication strategies and policy initiatives.
After starting as an intern, she now supports the Director of Communications and Policy by preparing briefings, managing key projects, and assisting with high-level reports and inquiries. She also provides editorial support for press releases, opinion editorials, and conducts stakeholder mapping. Her key contributions include research for a report on contemporary proxy warfare and conflict-related sexual violence and drafting written evidence for a 2024 select committee inquiry into the implications of the war in Ukraine for UK defence.
Hannah holds a BA in Political Science with Distinction from the University of Calgary, where she was a Research Assistant for the Canadian Elections Database, and completed an international affairs programme at Sciences Po.
She is passionate about international law, conflict intervention, and international development, and has participated in humanitarian projects in Cambodia and Peru.
