The Mueller report shows the West cannot be complacent about Russian interference

Donald Trump did not collude with Russia. That is the message many will take from Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report. It is the same message many took from US Attorney General William Barr’s summary of the Mueller Report, published in a letter to Congress in late March.

Although the report “established that the Russian government perceived it would benefit from a Trump presidency and worked to secure that outcome” and that Donald Trump’s campaign “expected it would benefit electorally from information stolen and released through Russian efforts”, Mueller concluded that Trump had not colluded with Russia.
