The British government should lead the fight to bring Daesh to justice

Daesh’s atrocities have failed to deliver a caliph or their fictional caliphate. Our international partners must commit to apply international law to bring prosecutions against Daesh fighters and those who choose to partner with them, making it clear that wherever a death cut terrorist hides, we will find them and hold them accountable for their barbaric crimes.

The tragic events in Barcelona last month were another hard-hitting reminder of the brutality and lack of respect for human life that Daesh represents. The murder of 14 innocent civilians, in a location popular among tourists, was the latest in what has been a tough year of terrorist attacks.
