CALLS for impeachment are like Christmas. They seem to come earlier every season.

In the 1990s American Republicans waited until Bill Clinton’s second term in office before trying to impeach him.

In George W. Bush’s presidency, the American Left waited a few years before demanding the same.

Even the wilder fringes of the American Right gave Barack Obama a couple of years before shouting “impeach”.

Yet here we are, only a few months into the Trump presidency and already the word is everywhere.
