‘Trump World Order’ Weekly Webinar Series: Russia
20 November @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
HJS is excited to announce we are starting a weekly webinar series!
Donald Trump’s re-election has sent shockwaves around the globe. Like him or hate him, everyone agrees: Trump is a change maker. His return to the White House will have huge ramifications for the world order. Will the 47th president of the United States, as he promised, negotiate a settlement to the Russo-Ukrainian war? Will he take on China in a trade war? And how will he respond to Iran’s nuclear ambitions? Those are just a few of the questions people around the world are now asking.
To address these questions, HJS is convening journalists, academics, current and former government officials over the coming weeks to discuss what the future holds in Trump’s second term. Between now and Inauguration Day, our researchers will host experts to discuss how Trump’s return to the White House not only affects the US, but other regions of the world and the implications for various geopolitical relations.
The first instalment is about the future of US-Russia relations. Are we about to witness a reset between the two superpowers, as many commentators are predicting? Or is it more complicated? And how will Trump deal with Vladimir Putin? Join us for a thought-provoking discussion with Philip Short, the acclaimed author and the world’s leading expert on Vladimir Putin.
