Military Lessons for NATO from the Russia-Ukraine War: Preparing for the Wars of Tomorrow
9 October @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am
As the Russia-Ukraine war passes the two-and-a-half year mark, we are delighted to announce a new report launch by Associate Research Fellow David Kirichenko titled, “Military Lessons for NATO from the Russia-Ukraine War: Preparing for the Wars of Tomorrow”. This in-depth report explores how the war has challenged and reshaped modern warfare theories by emphasizing that while some aspects of warfare remain unchanged, others have undergone radical transformation. It offers critical insights for NATO and Western allies, urging them to prepare for future wars that will extend beyond the physical battlefield into the cyber and digital realms.
The report delves into Ukraine’s innovative use of asymmetric tactics, particularly the critical role that drones and digital warfare and the use of artificial intelligence play in the war. It also examines how NATO and Western powers can better adapt to future conflicts by embracing emerging technologies to be able to face the new threats of the 21st century. Most importantly, it offers a guide on how to better support Ukraine to prevail on the battlefield against Russia.
By kind invitation of Rt Hon Alec Shelbrooke MP, The Henry Jackson Society is pleased to welcome you to a discussion with David Kirichenko about the findings of the latest report.
